Parque Lage — Architecture Integrated with the Historical Context
Parque Lage, located in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, is a project that balances contemporary architecture with a deep respect for the surrounding historical and urban context. Located next to a house listed by historic heritage, the building was carefully implanted to preserve the visibility and the protagonist role of this important construction.
One of the main features of the project is the open ground floor, which connects organically to a square located at the corner of the plot. This space was designed as a natural extension of the square, creating a free and accessible environment where the community can interact, play and meet. The design of a porous and inviting ground floor reflects the values of Alencar Possible Futures, promoting urban integration and social interaction.
The façade of Parque Lage, with its unique tone and contemporary design, was designed to fit into the context in a discreet and respectful manner. More than standing out, the proposal seeks to coexist harmoniously with the historical environment, understanding that architecture does not have to be the protagonist, but rather to contribute to the balance and continuity of urban space.
Parque Lage is an example of how architecture can be both innovative and conscious. This project represents a commitment to the future, respecting the past and promoting spaces that welcome the community and value the urban fabric, consolidating a vision of a city that embraces history, coexistence and sustainability.
