The Mátria Butterfly is a poetic installation located in Mátria Park, in São Francisco de Paula, Rio Grande do Sul. This project celebrates the client's emotional and spiritual connection with the place, symbolized by a white butterfly that landed on it during her first visit to the land. The installation pays homage to that moment and reflects the park's essence: a place of beauty, connection, and deep meaning.
Designed like a large tattoo on the ground, the installation takes the form of a large scale butterfly, covered by rich flowery vegetation that integrates harmoniously with the natural environment. Surrounding this central figure, intertwined wooden structures create unique shelters and perspectives, allowing visitors to experience the space from different angles. These elements offer not only protection but also an invitation to contemplation and interaction with the symbolic meaning of the work.
More than a simple construction, the Mátria Butterfly represents a landmark in the park, centralizing a moment of great relevance to the history of the place and the family that designed it. This project reflects Mátria Park's mission to awaken joy, reflection, and a playful and spiritual connection for all visitors, making it a true celebration of nature and life.
