Baffi Restaurant — Architecture Integrated with Nature

The Baffi Restaurant is a landmark in contemporary Brazilian architecture, located in Mátria Park, in São Francisco de Paula, Rio Grande do Sul. This internationally awarded project reflects the perfect integration between architecture, nature and functionality, being an example of how architecture can be both impactful and delicately inserted into the natural context.

Inspired by the mountains of vegetation that surround the park, the restaurant was designed to camouflage itself in the existing relief. The structure accompanies the terrain and opens onto a large lake, providing visitors with a unique experience of contemplating the sunset. The use of apparent concrete and meticulously designed frames brings a contemporary and robust language, while the careful choice of materials reflects a sustainable approach, aligned with the demands of the remote location, reducing the need to transport resources.

The Baffi Restaurant is not only a gastronomic space, but also a place to meet and rest. The possibility of walking on its roof and exploring different angles of the project creates a playful and interactive experience.
