Himmelblau — A New Chapter for a Blumenau Icon

Himmelblau, one of the most traditional and visited hotels in Blumenau, is about to be transformed into a contemporary landmark through an innovative retrofit project. Located in the heart of the city, Himmelblau will undergo a reformulation that goes beyond architecture, also encompassing the uses and functions of space.

One of the main proposals is the replacement of areas dedicated to cars with a covered street for pedestrians, creating cozy spaces for meetings and socializing. This new configuration includes the implementation of a beer school and a microbrewery on the ground floor, promoting local brewing and celebrating the city's brewing tradition, especially famous during Oktoberfest. The idea is to expand this experience to the whole year, strengthening Blumenau's cultural identity.

The concept of hospitality will also be reimagined: the traditional lobby will give way to a multifunctional bar, where service is combined with the experience of conviviality. Every detail of the hotel will be redesigned to create a space that celebrates the essence of Blumenau, combining modernity and tradition.
